This village inn with an award-winning restaurant rests in the picturesque village of Thorverton in Devon.
We are in the heart of the countryside, yet only 7 miles from Exeter, making it the ideal touring base for the north and south Devon beaches, Exmoor and Dartmoor.
The Thorverton Arms boasts a welcoming bar where you will find a comprehensive selection of real ales, wines and spirits.
The separate award-winning restaurant serves home-made traditional English food. There is a large south facing beer garden, large car park and very comfortable en suite letting rooms.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 20 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged GBP 10.00 per night for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. There is no capacity for cots in the room.

The Thorverton Arms has 6 comfortable en suite letting rooms: 3 doubles, one single, one twin and a family room that sleeps up to 4 people.
All our bathrooms have been refurbished and all our rooms are tastefully decorated, offering the facilities listed in "room descriptions" as well as pocket sprung beds, luxury pillows and power showers.
Family Room is for two adults and two children under the age of 12 sharing. If more than two adults stay in this room, there is an additional charge of ?20 per person.
The Thorverton Arms' restaurant won Newcomer of the Year for Food at the national Publican Awards in November 2006.
With a large choice of traditional English food, our philosophy is straight forward: simple, fresh, home-made food presented in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and offered at affordable prices.
Our chef and landlord, Garth Pearse, has more than 12 year's experience in the trade. He insists on only the best ingredients and ensures that all our meat and vegetables are sourced locally.
The hotel is 7 miles north of Exeter, 12 miles from junction 27 of the M5 and 8 miles from Exeter Airport.
